Introduction

The Cross-Domain Integration Promoting Office was established in August 2022 (Academic Year 111). The office is responsible for coordinating cross-college academic programs, facilitating inter-campus collaborative learning (Mobile Learning Program), and inspiring students to explore foundational knowledge across disciplines. It aims to guide students in considering future interdisciplinary expertise needs, cultivating them into leaders with cross-domain professional strengths.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Managing college-level affairs related to the Post-Baccalaureate Program in Electronics and Photonics, the Interdisciplinary Semiconductor Program Task Force, and other cross-domain programs.
  2. Promoting inter-campus mobile learning, including freshman co-learning initiatives and cross-campus exchange opportunities for sophomores and above.
  3. Handling administrative matters related to the University Self-Designed Bachelor’s Degree Program, including application forms, review meetings, and other related tasks.

Committees

The office also oversees three committees: Curriculum Committee, Admissions Committee, and Faculty Review Committee.

  1. Curriculum Committee:
    Responsible for discussing and deciding on curriculum planning matters. The committee consists of seven to nine members, including faculty and student representatives nominated by the Steering Committee. The regulations for its establishment are reviewed and approved by the Steering Committee and submitted to the University Curriculum Committee for record.
  2. Admissions Committee:
    Responsible for discussing and deciding on recruitment and admissions-related matters. The committee consists of seven to nine members, nominated by the Steering Committee from faculty members holding at least the rank of Assistant Professor. The chairperson is elected from among the committee members.
  3. Faculty Review Committee:
    Responsible for deliberating and deciding on faculty appointments and promotions. Member qualifications and terms are stipulated separately in the regulations for the Cross-Domain Faculty Review Committee. These regulations are reviewed and approved by the Steering Committee and submitted to the University Faculty Evaluation Committee for record.
